Your Must Have Fall Workout Essentials.

Fall Essentials to Keep You from Losing Your Summer Shreds.

By Angie Guenette

With the cold weather basically here, we all lose motivation to keep up our progress in the gym. Hoodie season is upon us, but you do not want to backtrack on all your hard work. I put together a few supplement/snack essentials for the colder season to keep you properly motivated and fueled to keep your progress up. Let’s not hide under our hoodies this season!

Snacks

First off, fall is the ultimate snacking season. You’re going to want to have something that will fuel you right back and also cure the sweet tooth you have. Here are a few of my favorite protein-packed snacks:

Grenade - Carb Killa 20g Protein Bar

This protein bar is one of my all-time favorites. It is jam-packed with protein but also tastes AMAZING. It is perfect with a coffee mid-day instead of that chocolate bar stored in the cabinet. Peanut Butter and Cookie Dough are my personal favorite flavours - you won’t even know it is a protein bar with how soft these bars are.

Allmax - Hexapro Popcorn

We all love a good movie night, but we don’t need the movie snacks loaded with butter, salt, and all sorts of sugar. I tried this protein popcorn years ago, and I can’t get enough of it - you will need a full bag to yourself for sure here. It comes in the flavours Peanut Butter and Dark Chocolate. With 20g of protein per bag, how can you go wrong? Make movie night delicious AND nutritious!

Supplements

So, we have some yummy snacks covered here. Let’s move on to a few supplements you can toss into your routine to help maintain that summer progress you made - or to just simply help you to stay feeling motivated and energized.

HD Muscle - ProHD Grass Fed Whey Isolate

The biggest thing I can suggest to anyone trying to lose weight, gain muscle or maintain it is a good quality protein powder. This protein powder is incredible as it has 25g of protein per serving. It also has zero fillers, blends, or amino spiking and zero sugars, artificial flavors, or dyes. For those who have a sensitive stomach - it also has added digestive enzymes within the protein powder to help the breakdown. No bloat for you here! High protein diets help keep you full and fueled - try a quick shake mid-day to keep you from having any slip-ups in the diet this season.

Allmax - MUSCLEAA 30 Serving

Next on the list is a great quality amino acid supplement. If you are hitting the gym a little less this season - it is important you fuel the progress you have made properly. Having an amino acid supplement during your workouts or even just your cardio sessions has been proven to increase muscle endurance, fat loss and improves your mood. You will overall be feeling way better during the cold season with this supplement. My favorite flavour is Blue Shark.

North Coast Naturals - Immuno C

When the sunshine goes away, we tend to feel very “blah,” right? I have been there, trust me. You need a little extra boost without adding any more coffee into your routine. The answer is Vitamin C. Vitamin C plays a role in controlling infections and healing wounds and is a powerful antioxidant that can neutralize harmful free radicals. During the cold seasons, we need this. You can get vitamin C from your diet and food, but it has been shown that those who take an additional vitamin C supplement have overall improved energy, focus and can help prevent chronic diseases.
