WHY DO I NEED FRUIT AND VEGETABLES ANYWAY, CAN I NOT SURVIVE ON STEAK AND POTATOES?

Whatever your goals are, fruits and vegetables provide many essential vitamins and minerals. Adequate vitamin and mineral intake is important during dieting, as decreased food intake may also reduce the number of nutrients consumed. If you're trying to lose weight, then it's likely that you will be on a diet for a long period of time, and to ensure that you don't develop a deficiency, it may be a good idea to supplement with greens. Polyphenols are found in fruits and vegetables they are powerful antioxidants that protect your body from free-radical damage from intensive training. With a 4000mg Greens blend, it ensures that you get a broad spectrum of nutrients from a variety of sources.

NOTHING WRONG WITH A LITTLE FAT!

Plant oils provide essential fatty acids (EFAs). Plant oils are built of phytosterols, which help lower bad cholesterol and as the name EFA's suggests, these are vital compounds for the functioning of your bodies such as the immune system, hormone production, and general health.

WILL THESE ACTUALLY BENEFIT ME OR ARE YOU JUST WANTING ALL MY PIZZA MONEY?

Greens have become a key product in many Athletes' stacks and everyday fitness people. Due to the rich nutrient variety that is offered from GrEAAns, it makes getting your daily intake that much easier to achieve. Results such as digestive health, fat reduction and energy enhancing are just some of the many benefits of taking a Superfood. GrEAAns is around 8 servings of Fresh Vegetables due to the concentrated ingredient used, in just 1 scoop of concentrated Greens, you have the equivalent of 8 daily servings!

OK, I AM CONVINCED BUT WHY THE EAA'S AND WHY VEGAN?

Amino acids are derived from numerous sources. The most common ways are hydrolyzation, chemical synthesis, and fermentation. The main reasons for choosing amino acids that are from fermented and vegan-friendly sources is that amino acids can be derived from, shall we say, less than desirable sources such as pig fur and duck feathers with that, non-fermented amino acids come with a higher risk of containing heavy metal byproducts, that's why all of Beyond Yourself amino acids like Amino iQ, Amrap and GrEAAns are Fermented Vegan Sourced!

EAA supplements are becoming the next big thing when they have actually been around longer than BCAA and there's more research on their effects to promote muscle protein synthesis then there are for BCAA. There are 9 essential amino acids in proteins, which your body does not produce which are

L-Leucine is an activator of mTORC1 and also one of the three BCAAs, it's a key player involved in muscle protein synthesis. It is well of the most well known out of the Amino family.

L-Lysine has a role in growth, tissue repair, and nutrient uptake.

L-Valine another one of the BCAAs, promotes muscle growth and tissue repair.

L-Isoleucine is the third one in BCAAs. It's involved in haemoglobin synthesis,  regulation of blood sugar and energy levels.

L-Threonine is involved in the creation or synthesis of protein in the body.

L-Phenylalanine plays a role in the synthesis of amino acids. It's also a precursor for important hormones such as dopamine, epinephrine, and norepinephrine.

L-Methionine is needed for tissue growth and repair.

L-Histidine is involved in the synthesis of proteins. It also combines with beta-alanine to form the dipeptide carnosine.

L-Tryptophan is involved in the synthesis of proteins. It's a precursor for the neurotransmitter serotonin and the hormone melatonin.

Confused yet? That's ok it was confusing to write, the only thing to focus that should pop out is that nearly all of the EAAs play a part in protein synthesis. This is due to their ability to activate the mammalian target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). If you're a nerd for muscle, you may have heard of the mTOR pathway. Well, mTORC1 includes not only mTOR but also the additional stages that stimulate muscle protein synthesis.

The mTORC1 pathway is the operator that handles the anabolic and catabolic signalling of skeletal muscle mass, muscle growth and muscle breakdown. Research has been proven to show that using EAA's along with resistance training has a positive effect on stimulating muscle protein synthesis through this pathway. Basically, EAA's can help maximize your intense workouts to stimulate muscle protein synthesis. Stimulate muscle protein synthesis = Gain muscle and prevent existing Gains from breaking down.
